Khulna Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saiful Islam said that Rabindranath Tagore’s literature is spread across the world. He has made his home in the hearts of Bengalis.
His literary works reflect the seasonal diversity of Bangladesh. His writings on all seasons, including winter, summer, and monsoon, still touch the hearts of Bengalis.
He said that Rabindranath’s touch had perfected all literature.
His works have been translated into various languages ​​of the world.
He received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913 for his English translation of the poetry collection Gitanjali.
His creative work spans poetry, novels, short stories, drama, essays, paintings, and music.
A discussion meeting and cultural program were held on the second day of a three-day program to mark the 164th birth anniversary of world poet Rabindranath Tagore at Pithabhog Rabindra Memorial Museum in Ghatbhog Union of Rupsha Upazila on the afternoon of May 9.
The chief guest said this in his speech at the event.
The main speaker on Rabindranath Tagore and the nature of Bangladesh was distinguished educationist and researcher Professor Md. Abdul Mannan.
Rupsha Upazila Executive Officer Akash Kumar Kundu presided over the function, while Senior Assistant Commissioner of Khulna District Commissioner’s Office Milan Saha, Convener of Khulna Press Club Enamlu Haque, and Acting Principal of Rupsha College Md. Shahidullah delivered speeches as special guests.
