113 illegal structures evicted in Kotalipara

A drive has been conducted to evict illegal shops and jute stalls set up on the land of the Water Development Board (Government) in Wapdarhat Bazar, Gachapara Mouza, Amtali Union, Kotalipara Upazila, Gopalganj.
A total of 113 illegal shops and establishments, including both brick and semi-brick, were demolished in the operation on Thursday (May 8).
Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Ronti Poddar conducted the eviction drive under the direction of Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate (Joint Secretary) Muhammad Kamruzzaman and under the overall supervision of Additional District Magistrate SM Tarek Sultan.
Executive Magistrate SM Amirul Mustafa and other officials and employees of the Water Development Board were present at the time.
The total number of structures evacuated is 113, and the total amount of land recovered is approximately 11.53 acres.
The value of the recovered property is estimated at Tk 57.65 crore.
Additional District Magistrate (ADM) SM Tarek Sultan has said that the process of evicting illegal structures on government land in various upazilas of Gopalganj will continue.
