A preparatory meeting has been held to celebrate the 164th birth anniversary of world poet Rabindranath Thakur and the 126th birth anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.

The preparatory meeting, organized by the Gopalganj District Administration on Tuesday (May 6) at 3 pm at the Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner’s conference room “Swachhta”, was presided over by Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate (Joint Secretary) Muhammad Kamruzzaman.

The preparatory meeting held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Golam Kabir was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin Sarkar, Executive Engineer of Gopalganj District Public Works Department Swarnendu Shekhar Mandal, District Livestock Officer Dr. Gobinda Chandra Sardar, Superintendent of Gopalganj 250-bed General Hospital Dr. Jeebitesh Biswas, District Women Affairs Officer Deputy Director (Retd.) Lakhsana Lucky, Principal of Gopalganj Sheikh Hasina Government Girls High School and College Shahnaz Reza Annie, along with officials and teachers of various government and private departments and educational institutions.
