Jamaat protest march and rally in Netrakona

A huge protest procession and rally of Jamaat-e-Islami has been held in Netrakona demanding the immediate and unconditional release of imprisoned Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General, oppressed public leader AT M Azharul Islam. The rally was held on Tuesday afternoon at the old collectorate premises of the district headquarters under the initiative of the district Jamaat-e-Islami. District Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Maulana Sadeq Ahmad Harish presided over the event, and former District Jamaat Ameer Maulana Enamul Haque spoke as the chief guest. Among others, District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Delwar Hossain Saiful, Jamaat leader Master Rafiqul Islam, Maulana Uliillah, Maulana Azharul Islam, District Chhatra Shibir President Mozammel Haque Milon and others spoke. The speaker strongly demanded the immediate and unconditional release of imprisoned Jamaat leader Azharul Islam. Otherwise, he warned that a massive mass movement would be launched with the students and the public. After the rally, a huge protest procession circled the main roads of the city and ended at the Upazila Parishad premises.
