A farmer named Md. Rukhon Mia from Mallikakpur village in Atithpur area of Barhatta upazila of the district is unable to water his purchased land. Farmer Rukon Mia has complained to various departments including the court about this. The complaint states that the buyer is not able to cultivate Boro properly in his property. He has complained to the Barhatta Upazila Executive Officer about this. Farmer Rukhon Mia wrote in his written complaint. A helpless, poor and destitute farmer. Because I am a simple person, my own brother Nurul Islam is forcibly depriving me of all my father’s inheritance by using his muscle power. He is currently depriving me of various aspects by showing the influence of BNP. I have been operating an irrigation line on my own land at 2609 daga in Mallikpur Mouza as per the rules of Nurul Islam Rural Electricity Association. The irrigation line was installed entirely in my area and on my land. He hasn’t given me water on my land since it was installed. When I asked him why he didn’t water my land, he said he wouldn’t water my land. When I asked why he wasn’t giving me water, he threatened me even more. He even beat me up. I was helpless and did not receive any justice for my brother Nurul Islam Tipon. Sir, I, a simple and helpless person, am making a strong appeal to you demanding justice for this unjust behavior of my brother. I am submitting a request to take action to close the irrigation line of my brother Nurul Islam Tapon from my land. In this regard, accused Nurul Islam Tipon Mia said that Rukhon Mia alone and strategically took away our share of the property from our father. On the other hand, Rukhon Mia said that I have always fulfilled my father’s medical treatment and maintenance responsibilities. So he has written off all the assets to me of his own free will and knowledge. Now I am not able to cultivate my legal property. In this regard, Barhatta Upazila Executive Officer Khabirul Ahsan said around 4 pm on Saturday (February 15), “We are investigating the complaint.” Appropriate action will be taken after verification.
