Nabinagar (Brahmanbaria) Correspondent
The biennial 2025-26 Executive Council elections of Brahmanbaria Nabinagar Press Club were held in a festive atmosphere in a free, fair and impartial manner.
Voting was held at the Press Club office from 10 am to 1 pm on Thursday, February 13.

Mohammad Hossain Shanti, correspondent of the Daily Swadhin Sangbad and publisher of the weekly Malaya, was elected as the president in this election, while Mostaq Ahmed Ujjal, Upazila correspondent of the Daily Jugantor and Morning Glory, was elected as the general secretary.

Other elected members are, Asian TV & Desh Rupantor correspondent Mohammad Zahirul Haque was elected as vice-president, Prothom Bhor correspondent Kamrul Islam was elected as co-general secretary, Manabzamin and My TV representative Shyama Prasad Chakrabharti Shyamal was elected as executive member, Mohona TV and Ajker newspaper correspondent Saidul Alam Sohrab was elected as representative.

Nabinagar Upazila Executive Officer Rajib Chowdhury announced the final results of the election at 2 pm.

Earlier, 5 members were elected unopposed. They are: Tajul Islam (Dainik Dhaka) as senior vice-president

Monirul Islam Babu (Prajabandhu) as finance editor, Md. Selim Reza (Dainik Janata) as office and hospitality editor, SA Rubel (Sarod) as information and technology editor, Shafiqul Islam (Dainik Frontier) as literary and cultural editor.
