Mohammad Salahuddin is the new chairman of Cox’s Bazar Development Authority

Mohammad Salahuddin, retired additional secretary of the Ministry of Industries, has been nominated as the chairman of the Cox’s Bazar Development Authority.
He was appointed for a period of three years. He is a resident of Pahartali, Ward No. 7, Cox’s Bazar town. His father is a retired police officer, Shamsul Huda.
Advocate Joynal Abedin, a senior lawyer from Nuniachara in Cox’s Bazar city, Advocate Moin Uddin, a resident of Pahartali area, and Salahuddin, the younger brother of computer engineer Alauddin.
He earned his SAC from Cox’s Bazar Government High School, HSC from Chittagong College, and a postgraduate diploma from Dhaka University.
He started his career in 1993 as a BCS administration cadre.
This information was given in a notification signed by Deputy Secretary Abu Saleh Md. Mahfuzul Alam sent from the Contracts and Foreign Employment Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday (February 12).
The notification said that as per Section-5 of the Cox’s Bazar Development Authority Act, 2016, Mohammad Salauddin, who is enjoying PRL, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Cox’s Bazar Development Authority for a period of 03 years from the date of joining, subject to suspension of his unencumbered post-retirement leave and related benefits and renunciation of any other profession, business or employment relationship with any government, semi-government, private institution/organization.
