Putting an end to much speculation, the full committee of the Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, the most important affiliate of the BNP, has finally been approved in the BNP stronghold of Kachchhpia Union under Ramu Upazila in Cox’s Bazar district. On February 11, the full committee of the Kachchhpia Union Jubo Dal, approved by the joint signatures of Upazila Jubo Dal convener Zahir Alam and member secretary Touhidul Islam, approved a 51-member full committee with Abu Hannan (M.U.P) as president and Shamsul Alam Shaheen as general secretary. Touhidul Islam, member secretary of Ramu Upazila Nationalist Youth Party, said that the new committee of Kachchhpia Union Youth Party was approved on the instructions of Nationalist Youth Party Cox’s Bazar District Branch President Ed. Syed Ahmed Ujjal and General Secretary Zisan Uddin Zisan. Other leaders of the newly approved Kachhpia Union Jubo Dal are – Senior Vice President Anwar Hossain Shahin and Vice Presidents Md. Gias Uddin, Abdu Shukkur, Ala Uddin, Rezaul Karim Liton, Jasim Uddin, Mohammad Yunus, Joint General Secretary Osman Gani, Deputy General Secretary Abdul Mannan, Jasim Uddin, Joynal Abedin, Shamsul Alam, Organizing Secretary Ziaul Haque Russell, Co-Organizing Secretary Mizanur Rahman, Amanul Haque, Jabedul Anwar, Office Secretary Mostafa Kamal, Co-Office Secretary Saiful Islam, Publicity Secretary Abul Fayez, Co-Propaganda Secretary Absar Kamal, Treasurer Abdur Rahim, Co-Treasurer Helal Uddin, Expatriate Welfare Secretary Belal Uddin, Co-Expatriate Welfare Secretary Joynal Abedin. District and upazila leaders have expressed hope that the organization’s activities will be more dynamic through this new committee. Meanwhile, the nationalist leaders believe that the party’s dedicated and honest leadership has been appreciated by the approved committee of the Jubo Dal. The leaders of the nationalist party believe that the new Kachchhpia Union, under the leadership of Jubo Dal President Abu Hannan and General Secretary Shamshal Alam, will be able to play a stronger role in the Kachchhpia Union than at any time in the past.
