Bangladesh Postal Department has released a commemorative postage stamp of ten taka, an inaugural envelope of ten taka, a data card of five taka and a special seal to commemorate “Uprising-2024”.

Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus released the postage stamp at the State Guest House Jamuna on Sunday evening. At this time, Posts and Telecommunications Advisor Md. Nahid Islam, Secretary of Posts and Telecommunications Department Dr. Md. Mushfiqur Rahman and Director General (Additional Duty) of the Directorate of Posts S. M. Shahabuddin were present.

The theme of the postage stamp has been depicting the spontaneous participation of women in the July Mass Uprising. The role of women in accelerating the July Uprising is highlighted in the postage stamp.

In addition to the strong role that the spontaneous participation of students and the public in the July Uprising played in freeing fascism, the paintings, cartoons, graffiti and protest songs during the movement gave courage and enthusiasm to the protesters. In just three weeks, hundreds of political cartoons and paintings were created, which became a unique means of protest against fascism.
