Former Ramu Upazila BNP general secretary Meraj Ahmed Mahin Chowdhury has been nominated as the president of the ad hoc committee of Ramu Girls’ High School, a traditional women’s educational institution in Cox’s Bazar. Meraj Ahmed Mahin Chowdhury is the eldest son of the late Ahmedul Haque Chowdhury, former chairman of Ramu Upazila Parishad and former president of Ramu Upazila BNP.

In the newly formed committee, S. Mohammad Hossain has been nominated as the guardian representative, Monghla Pree teacher representative, and Headmaster (acting) Khorshed Alam has been nominated as the member secretary ex officio.

On Wednesday, February 5, a notification signed by Professor Dr. Biplob Gangoli, School Inspector of Chittagong Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, approved the committee for the next 6 months.

The notification further states that this ad hoc committee must complete the work of forming a regular managing committee on a priority basis as per regulations 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Chittagong Regulations-2024.
