As a result, the people of Rupganj are in extreme insecurity, businessmen and common people think. In Kayetpara, Bhulta, Murapara, Kanchan, Tarabo, Bholabo, Daudpur, Golakandail, Chanpara areas of the upazila, during the Awami League government’s tenure, meetings, marches or showdowns were practiced with firearms. That fear still prevails among the common people. After Sheikh Hachina left the country on August 5, the leaders and activists fled, but no weapons were found. If the administration is not proactive in recovering those illegal weapons, they may change hands and end up in the hands of miscreants. Rupganj may be turbulent again. Because of this, common and civil society people are in fear.
