Chattogram have got new DC & DM

Farida Khanam has been appointed as the new District Commissioner of Chittagong. who was earlier attached to the Ministry of Public Administration as Deputy Secretary.

Earlier, Chittagong District Commissioner Md. Abul Bashar Fakhruzzaman in a notification of public administration has been transferred as Director of Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority on August 20.

Later Chittagong Additional Divisional Commissioner Anwar Pasha was given the duty of Acting Deputy Commissioner.

After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government in the face of the student movement, the interim government took the initiative to reorganize the field administration. After assuming responsibility, the government made major changes in public administration.

This information is known from the notification of the field administration-2 branch of the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday.

According to notification 25 districts including Chattogram, Dhaka, Faridpur, Sylhet, Habiganj, Mymensingh, Sherpur, Kushtia, Jhenaidah, Magura, Rangpur, Gaibandha, Naogaon, Natore, Pabna, Bogra, Joypurhat, Cox’s Bazar, Noakhali, Chandpur, Gazipur, Comilla, Moulvibazar, Khulna and Gopalganj have been appointed New District Commissioner.

On August 14, the contracts of 11 secretaries including the chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) were cancelled. And the Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office has been made Officer on Special Duty (OSD). Besides, promotion is being given to officials deprived of promotion. Major promotions have already been given to the posts of Deputy Secretary and Joint Secretary. Major changes have also been brought in the police administration. As part of this, District Commissioners are being withdrawn and new District Commissioners are being appointed.
