In Mahadevpur of Naogaon, many ponds have been cultivated. Early varieties of Paniphal or Singara are already in the market. At the beginning of the season, the farmers are smiling because of the good price of watercress. Apart from regular farmers, many people are now getting motivated to grow this profitable fruit.
In the Kunjban area of Khajur Union of the upazila, a water-filled fruit tree was seen. The whole pond is covered with leaves.
It was seen that a middle-aged man was picking up water. If he wanted to talk, he came near the bank from the middle of the boat. His name is Shri Yogesh Chandra Burman. His house is next to the pond. There are few owners of this three bigha pond. He took rent from them and cultivated water plants.
Upazila Agriculture Officer agriculturist Hossain Mohammad Ershad said that they cultivate it separately. They are provided with all necessary advice and assistance.
