RAB’s robust patrolling is making an important contribution to crime prevention.
RAB-7 is conducting operations by establishing robust patrolling and checkposts at important places to prevent robbery, extortion, murder, domination, extortion and youth gang inactivity in Chittagong.
On Tuesday (September 26) morning in the press conference at Jamalkhan intersection of the city, the captain of RAB-7 highlighted various aspects of this activity Colonel Mahbub Alam. He said that in the last three months, RAB-7 has made an important contribution to keeping the law and order situation normal and preventing crime through robust patrolling.
A total of 20 members of 4-5 juvenile gangs have been brought under the law in the last three months.He also said that Madrasa students were physically tortured to death in Chawkbazar, double murder in Pahartali, bean seller was killed in Patenga, banana leaf quarrel was killed in Anwara, NGO worker Kalpana Chakma was publicly hacked to death in Rangunia, creditor was arrested in Anwara and the main killer was arrested.
Besides, RAB-7 has been able to recover a huge amount of domestic and foreign liquor including 1 lakh 45 thousand pieces of yaba, 540 kg of ganja by conducting anti-narcotics operation in the last three months, he said. RAB is carrying out 18 patrolling 24-hour patrolling activities and setting up checkposts at important points of the city to prevent crime.
