The half-melted body of an Indian citizen was found in Dhalai river

The identity of the half-melted body found floating in Dhalai river of Companyganj upazila of Sylhet has been revealed. His name is Filton Tham (30). He is the son of Vidhura Tham of Peirnai village in East Khasi Hills region of India.
His body was handed over to the family on Tuesday (August 8) evening in the presence of police and senior authorities of the two countries through a BGB-BSF flag meeting.
Earlier on Tuesday around 8:30 am, locals informed the police after seeing a body floating on the eastern side of Bholaganj Guchchagram of Dhalai river. On receiving the information, Companiganj Police and BGB members went to the spot and recovered the body from the river with the help of locals.
Companyganj police station OC Hillol Ray Jana- The recovered body is that of an Indian citizen. After the postmortem at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, the bodies were handed over to India in the presence of police and BGB and BSF.
