Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over 364 houses with land to landless-homeless families in the second phase of the phase. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Devi Chandra held a press briefing with the journalists.

The press conference was held yesterday on August 7 at noon in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner.

In the meeting on August 9, in the second phase of the 4th phase, houses will be allocated among a total of 364 families in 6 upazilas of Habiganj district. Out of this, 5 more upazilas Bahubal, Habiganj Sadar, Shaistaganj, Lakhai and Madhavpur will be declared landless. Only the remaining 66 houses in Ajmiriganj will be declared completely landless by allocating them among the homeless families in September.

Earlier on March 22, Nabiganj, Baniachong and Chunarughat were declared homeless upazilas. Habiganj Sadar, Lakhai, Shaistaganj, Madhavpur, Bahubal will be declared landless and homeless free upazila on August 9 and Azmirinj upazila will be declared homeless free in September. Journalists working in Habiganj city attended the conference.

It was also informed in the meeting that the district administration has recovered 147.87 acres of special land to implement the house building work among the homeless families in order to implement the Prime Minister’s announcement to build a homeless-free Bangladesh in the Mujib year. The market value of which will be 58 crore rupees. And district administration officials, law enforcement, public representatives, journalists are cooperating in this.
