Birth anniversary celebration of Bangamata at Jalalabad Cantonment Public School and College

Jalalabad Cantonment Public School and College (JCPSC) celebrated the 93rd birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnecha Mujib with due dignity and solemnity.

The 93rd birth anniversary celebrations of Banga Mata included painting and essay competitions, documentary screenings and discussion sessions.

On Tuesday morning at 10 am, drawing competition was organized at ‘Nandan Academy’ of the institute and writing competition was organized at Central Library. A large number of students participate in both the competitions with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm. A discussion meeting on the working life of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib was held at 1 pm in the auditorium of the institution.

At the beginning of the discussion, Abdullah Al Mamun, a student of the ninth grade, recited from the Qur’an. After that, assistant teacher Imdadul Haque prayed for the forgiveness and peace of the souls of Bangabandhu and his family members who received martyrdom including Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib.

Assistant teacher Shipra Rani Das, tenth grader Sanjida Shabnam Mithila and eleventh grader Ayman Arib Ahmed participated in an open discussion on the life of the noble Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib moderated by Abida Ibnath Mithila, a grade 9 student of the institution. In the discussion of the students, Bangmata’s contribution in the formation of the country, sacrifices, Bangamata’s contribution in the life of Bangabandhu, etc. have emerged.

In the closing speech of the program, the principal of the institution, Lt. Colonel Md. Quddusur Rahman, PSC said, ‘Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, the noble woman who provided continuous motivation in the long journey of the freedom struggle of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the dreamer of Bengali freedom, the best father of the Bengali nation for a thousand years. Bangabandhu’s autobiography has brought up many unknown chapters of Bangmata’s sacrifice. When Bangabandhu was in prison, he also made an important contribution to the success of the 6-point program of the Bengali Liberation Charter. Whenever her husband Sheikh Mujib, who is involved in politics, needed extra money, he would send the money earned from his father’s property without any hesitation. He stands by the party and activists even after selling the furniture and ornaments of his house. Being the wife of a president and prime minister, she lived like a common man. Everyone was impressed by his kindness and modesty. He advised the students to become patriotic and ideal people by reading the biography of Bangmata.

At the end of the program, the principal of the institution distributed prizes among the winners of the drawing and writing competition. Assistant Professor Shabnam Chowdhury of the Department of Chemistry served as the convener under the overall supervision of the institution’s Vice Principal Assistant Professor Abdul Hannan.
