113 more homeless families are getting new houses in Kamalganj

Kamalganj Upazila of Moulvibazar is going to become homeless on the occasion of Mujib centenary. In the 4th phase (Phase 2) these houses will be handed over to another 113 homeless and landless families in Baghmara of Kamalganj Sadar Union, Ghoramara of Adampur Union and Bakshitila of Alinagar Union. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to inaugurate these houses through a video conference from Ganabhaban on Wednesday, August 9.
The land deeds and keys of these houses will be handed over to 113 beneficiary families after the Prime Minister’s inauguration. After that, the upazila will be declared 100% homeless by providing houses to the remaining 23 families.

On Monday (August 7) at 4 pm in Kamalganj Upazila Parishad Conference Room, this information was given by the Upazila Executive Officer (Acting) Md Raich Al Rejuan in a press briefing organized by Kamalganj Upazila Administration. Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mohammad Asaduzzaman, Administrative Officer of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Office Amulya Kumar Singh were present at this time.
It was informed in the press briefing that 665 homeless families have been given houses in Kamalganj upazila in three stages under Prime Minister’s Shelter Scheme-2. 113 more families will be given houses in the 4th phase (Phase 2). Next Wednesday (August 9), Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the program of giving houses along with land to the beneficiary homeless and landless families through video conference in the fourth phase across the country. Earlier, 665 homeless and landless families of Kamalganj upazila have been constructed and handed over to the beneficiaries under Asharyan-2 project. It brought smiles to the faces of the homeless.
