On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid congregation will be held in 90 Eidgahs and 437 mosques of Sylhet city. Sylhet Metropolitan Police will provide three levels of security in the city to ensure the security of the Eid congregation.

As part of this, tight security has been created at the Eid Jamaat with drone cameras, CCTV cameras, surveillance, metal detectors, bomb disposal units, CRTs, uniformed and plainclothes police.

Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP). Ilyach Sharif gave this information to the journalists after visiting the historical Shahi Eidgah ground, the main Eid congregation place of the city on Thursday afternoon.

SMP Commissioner told reporters that the police will provide three levels of security in the city. There will be special security in Sylhet city on the day of Eid and the day after.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) Mu. Masud Rana, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters and Administration) Tofail Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Md. Azbahar Ali Sheikh, PPM, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Community Services) Sudeep Das, Kotwali Police Station OC Mohammad Ali Mahmood and Airport Police Station OC Moinuddin Shipan were present.
