Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection Moulvibazar district office is conducting surveillance and raids in various cosmetics, cloth and shoe shops in Moulvibazar Eid market.

On Wednesday (April 12) under the leadership of Assistant Director of District Office Md. Shafiqul Islam and with the support of a team of Sadar Model Police Station, 3 establishments were fined Tk 6,000 due to various irregularities.
Assistant Director Md. Saiful Islam said that due to various irregularities including not selling shoes at a fair price, not writing the production date, expiry date and price in packaged cosmetics, selling expired food products, Tk 1,000 was imposed on Family Mart located in Chaumuhna, Archis. A total of 3 establishments have been fined Rs 6,000 under the Consumer Act, including Rs 2,000 to Fresh Food located on Central Road and Rs 3,000. He also said that the supervision activities of the Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection will be ongoing to ensure the availability of daily essential products at a fair price and Eid shopping at a fair price.
