Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed the concerned authorities to take necessary measures to collect tolls on regional highways.

He said these things at the ECNEC meeting held at Sherbanglanagar NEC conference room in the capital on Tuesday. ECNEC Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting.

The Prime Minister said that the government is spending thousands of crores of rupees to build infrastructure. Therefore, arrangements for toll collection should be made on regional highways even at a minimum rate. It will also develop a culture of tolling among people.

At the end of the meeting, Planning Minister MA Mannan and State Minister for Planning. Shamsul Alam briefed the journalists.
