23 people were injured in the fire incident in Bangabazar, 6 were admitted

23 people were injured in the incident of fire in Bangabazar of the capital. The injured have been treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMHC) and Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. Among them, six people are admitted in both hospitals.

It is known that 17 people have left the DMK hospital after receiving treatment and four people are admitted. The admitted patients are – Niloy (35), Shaheen (40), Ripon (40) Rubel (32). In addition, two people are admitted to Burn Institute. They are – Fireman Mehdi Hasan and shop employee Md. Rabbi (17). Besides, another person named Hriday (13) has left the hospital after treatment.
Burn Institute Resident Surgeon Assistant Professor Dr. SM Ayub Hossain said that fireman Mehdi Hasan’s airway was affected by smoke. One percent of the heart is burned and two percent of the rabbi is burned. He is under observation.
DMK Police Outpost In-charge (Inspector) Md. Bachchu Mia said, some of the injured were slightly injured. They left with treatment. Four people have been admitted to DMK Hospital.
A fire broke out in Bangabazar of the capital at 6:30 a.m. that day. The fire was brought under control after about six and a half hours. A joint support team of the Bangladesh Army and a support team of the Bangladesh Air Force and a helicopter worked alongside the fire service to control the fire.
