In Srimangal of Moulvibazar, iftar was organized by the members of the traditional Srimangal Press Club and in honor of the journalists, the former environment affairs secretary of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Chhatra League, Nibarun Das Ripon, a native of Bailasi village of Mirzapur Union of Srimangal Upazila.

On Sunday (April 2) at the traditional Srimangal Press Club, after exchanging views with the press club members, Nibarun Das Ripon participated in the iftar in honor of the journalists. Press Club President Biswajyoti Chowdhury, Senior Vice President Dipankar Bhatracharya Liton, Editor Imam Hossain Sohail, Joint General Secretary Syed Salauddin, Former Senior Vice President of Press Club, Senior Journalist Md Kawshar Iqbal, Press Club Joint Editor (Office) M Muslim Chowdhury, Executive Council members Md. Shakir Ahmed, Noor Mohammad Sagar, Sultan Mahmud, Sonet Deb Chowdhury, Press Club member Maulana Md. Abdur Rab, Columnist and Journalist Syed Amiruzzaman, Mizanur Rahman Alam, Jhalak Dutt, Md. Rubel Ahmed, Golam Kibria Jewel, Arvind Dev and Shamsul Islam Shamim etc. Also present were Abdus Shukur, daily Bangladesh Srimangal correspondent and other members of the press club. Press club members expressed their gratitude to Chhatra League leader Nabarun Das Ripon for organizing Iftar in honor of journalists of Srimangal Press Club.
