Cousins died after drowning in pond water in Raghurampur of Bahubal upazila. This incident happened yesterday Saturday (April 1) around noon.

The two dead children are Yashin Mia (4), son of Mohiuddin of that village, and one and a half year old Jannat, daughter of Salah Uddin. They are cousins.

According to police and family sources, Yashin and Jannat drowned in the pond near the house in the afternoon without the family members noticing. Meanwhile, the family members started searching after not seeing the two children at home. At one stage, the two children were rescued from the pond and taken to the Bahubal Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor declared them dead.
