UK can learn democracy from Bangladesh: Foreign Minister

If there is any weakness in the democracy of the United Kingdom, the foreign minister advised to learn from Bangladesh. AK Abdul Momen.

He gave this advice to Anne-Marie Trevelyan, Minister of State for Indo-Pacific Affairs of the UK Foreign Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.

After a courtesy meeting with the British Minister of State, Dr. Momen said, democracy, justice, justice and human rights are in our blood. We do not have the opportunity to teach anyone else about all this.

In the meeting, Dr. Ann-Marie told her not to worry about the upcoming national elections in Bangladesh. Momen. He said, we want to conduct a reliable, transparent, beautiful and acceptable election. We have created all the institutions that should be built for that.

The foreign minister said, our people are very brave. They are very mature. They never vote wrongly during voting. So there is no reason for UK to worry about these.

Journalists want to know what the British Minister of State said about the election. In response, Momen said, he did not say anything, he heard. He said, there can be different opinions in democracy.

Dr. Momen said, there have been many talks about Rohingya. That was the main issue. He wanted to know if we had a dialogue with them after the military rule came to Myanmar. We said, done.

A delegation from Myanmar will visit Bangladesh soon to see the position of the Rohingyas, said the British Minister of State. Momen. The foreign minister also said that there was no discussion on India’s Pacific strategy.
