Rape case policeman in prison, alleged lover hunger strike!

The family of policeman Shiblu, who is in jail in connection with the rape of a college girl in Chunarughat, Habiganj, is threatening the victim to withdraw the case. On the other hand, it has been reported that another alleged lover of the policeman, woman constable Sharmin Akhtar, has returned to Shiblu’s house on hunger strike demanding marriage. There is a storm of juicy discussion about this. If Shiblu’s bail application is not granted last Thursday, on behalf of her family, the uncle, Abdul Matlib’s son Qadir Mia and Abdul Haq and sister Jahura Khatun and Khalu Abul Kalam threatened to withdraw the case against the college girl. Due to their threats, the girl has left home and is living elsewhere. Meanwhile, Shibalu’s alleged lover Sharmin Akhter, who is at work in Narayanganj, went on a hunger strike at Shibalu’s house last Monday when Shibalu’s picture was published in the newspaper. Later his relatives covered up the matter in various ways.
On February 13 at 3 pm, a HSC student (20) of Chunarughat Upazila said that she had a love affair with constable Shibulu Mia (25) working in the Sylhet police line, son of deceased Ramiz Ulla of the same village. He lured her to marry for a year and developed physical relations in various residential hotels including Sylhet, Srimangal, Chunarughat. At one point she induced an abortion in a hospital in Chunarughat saying that she would get married officially if she became pregnant. Finally, on February 15, she was raped again in a hotel in Sylhet and got stuck. The college student said that when she filed a case against Shiblu, Shiblu was arrested and sent to jail and she was suspended.
