Bandarban District Police observed “Police Memorial Day” with due dignity

Bangladesh policemen play a very proud role in maintaining law and order, suppressing crime and arresting the criminals in the internal security of the country.The patience,devotion and patriotic activities of the members of the force in any national calamity are appreciated by all quarters. Every year many policemen are killed in the line of duty.The great example of self-sacrifice they set in the line of duty brings glory to the entire police force. “Police Memorial Day” is celebrated on March 1 in all police units across the country every year to remember the sacrifices and glorious contribution of those members of the Bangladesh Police who died in the line of duty.Bangladesh Police has been observing ‘Police Memorial Day’ continuously since 2017. As part of this, ‘Police Memorial Day’ has been celebrated in Bandarban with due dignity.On Wednesday (March 1), Bandarban district police observed ‘Police Memorial Day’ in remembrance of the policemen who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty with humble respect and love. On this occasion,tributes were paid to the martyred policemen by placing wreaths at the memorial erected at the Bandarban Police Lines ground in memory of the policemen who laid down their lives for the maintenance of public safety and law and order. Wreaths were presented by 2 APBN Additional DIG Md.Ali Ahmad Khan, Commandant of In-Service Training Center Wahidul Alam Chowdhury,Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Md.Jahangir,Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md. Shah Alam,Asst.Superintendent of Police (DSB) Md.Salauddin,Officer-in-charge of Bandarban Sadar Thana SM Shahidul Islam and other officers and police members of various units. After laying wreaths,all present observed a moment of silence at the makeshift memorial in memory of the policemen who sacrificed their lives.Later,special prayers and prayers were offered for the peace of the souls of the martyred policemen.
