Nephew died after being crushed by uncle’s tractor

In Sadullapur Upazila of Gaibandha, a nephew named Rafiq Mia (6) was killed after being crushed by the tractor wheel of an uncle named Firoz Mia (25).
The incident took place in Araji Jamalpur (Kutipara) village of Jamalpur Union of Upazila on Tuesday (February 28) afternoon.
The deceased Rafiq Mia is the son of Dudu Mia of that village. Firoz Mia is the son of Rachim Uddin of the same village. They are uncle and nephew.
Confirming this information, the relatives said that Feroz Mia was driving his tractor towards home at that time. In the meantime, his nephew Rafiq Mia got into the car on the road. After going some distance, Rafiq Mia was thrown from the tractor and crushed against the wheel. The child died on the way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
Jamalpur Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Zahid Hassan Shubo Kauchar Mandal was contacted on the phone in this regard, but the phone was not received.
