Environment Minister orders to strengthen activities against forest land encroachment
Staff Reporter: Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md. Shahab Uddin has ordered the Chief Conservator of Forests of the Forest Department to intensify the eviction of illegal occupants of forest land. He said that appropriate legal measures should be continued to eradicate illegal encroachment of forest land across the country. He gave this order at the progress review meeting of the annual development program held at the meeting room of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on Thursday. He also directed the concerned to take necessary measures to properly look after the wild animals of Dulahazara and Bangabandhu Safari Park in Gazipur. He said, if any animal is sick, advice should be taken through experts.
