The parliamentary committee has given the power to nominate the presidential candidate to the Prime Minister. Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that no name was discussed.
The meeting was opened by the leader of the parliament and the president of the parliamentary party. He said that the party should vote for the person who will be nominated for the post of president. The members of parliament present answered yes. Later, the party’s general secretary, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader in his speech assigned the responsibility to the president regarding the party’s candidate for the 22nd presidential post of the country.
As there was no decision on Tuesday (February 7), everyone is waiting to know who is the candidate of Awami League for the post of president or who will be the next number one guardian of the country. Several sources confirmed the matter in the meeting.
