Jaintapur Upazila Sadar Bus-Station Hospital-Bazar Road Congestion Relief and Road Renovation Work, Upazila Administration has conducted an operation and evicted at least 20 illegal establishments due to illegally occupying the sidewalks and making business establishments.

The administration conducted the operation on Thursday (February 2) afternoon. Upazila Parishad Chairman Kamal Ahmed led this campaign.
Upazila District Officer Al-Bashirul Islam, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ripamani Devi, Nijpat Union Parishad Chairman Md. Intaj Ali, Upazila Awami League Office Secretary Hasinul Haque Husnu, Jaintapur Press Club President Nurul Islam, UP member Humayun Kabir Khan, Philanthropists Alhaj Hossain Ahmed and Masuk Ahmed. Also present were the surveyors of the Land Office and the leaders of market traders’ organizations.

Upazila Parishad Chairman Kamal Ahmad said that some people have been illegally occupying the bus-station road from the important hospital of Upazila Sadar for a long time and carrying on business. Implementation of road widening works and eviction of illegal structures in the interest of public including pedestrians. Those who are doing business by occupying market and other places will be evicted after land survey by Government Surveyor.
