Four officers have been promoted from Additional DIG of Police to Additional IG. On Wednesday (January 25), a notification in this regard was issued from the Police Branch-1 of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Those who have been promoted are – Jamil Ahmad working at the Police Headquarters, Md. working at the Police Staff College of Dhaka. Humayun Kabir, YM Belalur Rahman working at Police Headquarters and Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Mir Rezaul Alam.

The notification said, the promoted officers will send their joining letter through the appropriate authority and will continue to hold the present duties till further posting. After the top post of Inspector General of Police (IGP), there were 18 Additional Inspector Generals. With four new people, this number is now 22.
