A madrasa student was killed when a tractor loaded with soil hit him
Pedestrian madrasa student was killed after being crushed by a tractor loaded with illegal soil in Habiganj’s Bahubal. An excavator and two tractors have been seized in this incident. The incident took place on Tuesday (January 10) at noon in Haripasa village of Mirpur Union of Upazila.
It is known that Jilon Mia of Haripasa village of the upazila was cutting the soil from his own land with an excavator and loading a tractor to fill a bit of his own new house. At that time, Samyun Ahmed (8), son of neighbor Md. Abdul Ahad Mia, was passing through the road. In such a situation, the tractor loaded with illegal soil ran over Samyun. Sameun died on the spot. After receiving the information, a group of police including SI Jasim Uddin, Ashish Talukder, MA Farooq of Bahubal Model Police Station went to control the situation and prepared a report on the condition of Sameun’s body. Later Bahubal-Nabiganj Circle Senior ASP Md Abul Khair and Officer-in-Charge Md Rakibul Islam Khan visited the spot.
It is also known from local sources that recently Bahubal upazila Vadeshwar Union, Lamatasi Union, Mirpur Union, Bahubal Sadar Union, Satkapan Union, Putijuri Union and Snanghat Union have illegally cut soil day and night from agricultural land with excavators and sold hundreds of tractor loads. The ground is coming. But despite the fines on one or two of the hundreds of illegal soil grabbers, the Raghabboals continue to sell soil freely from agricultural land beyond their reach.
On Tuesday afternoon in Haripasa village of Mirpur Union, the police was shaken immediately after the incident of the death of Madrasa student Samyun Ahmed (8) after being crushed by a tractor loaded with soil. They seized an excavator and two tractors from the spot and brought them to the police station. Meanwhile, every day in Nijgaon area of Bhadeshwar Union, unscrupulous soil scavengers are cutting soil from agricultural land with excavators and loading several tractors to destroy the government road. Locals are angry that no action has been taken against them.
