Dhaka-bound road march of Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Parishad on 7-point demand

Road march of Hindu, Buddhist, Christian Unity Parishad towards Dhaka was held in Comilla. With the slogan ‘Let’s go to Dhaka, implement the election promise’, they held this road meeting with seven-point demands, including the formulation of a law for the protection of minorities. Leaders of different districts of Chittagong Division participated in this road meeting in Alekharchar area of Adarsh Sadar Upazila of Dhaka-Chittagong highway district till 11 am on Saturday.

Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Parishad Central Committee Organizing Secretary Shyamal Kumar Palit, Chittagong North District Branch President Bir Muktijoddha Indu Nandan Dutta, South District President Tapas Hor, Comilla District Branch President Chandan Roy, Editor Principal Tapas Baksi, Chittagong Metropolitan Secretary Advocate Nitai Prasad Ghosh, Feni District Branch President Shukdev Nath, Secretary Liton Saha, Noakhali District Secretary Advocate Pappu Saha, Lakshmipur District Branch President Ratan Lal Bhowmik, Rangamati District President Dipan Kumar Ghosh, Pooja Committee Chittagong District Branch Secretary Asim Kumar Deb, Noakhali District Branch President Kishore Sheel etc.

The speakers in the road meeting said that even after four years of the government, they could not show sincerity in making laws to implement the demands. They said that the movement will continue if the Constitution of 72 is not reinstated. Later, hundreds of vehicles carrying activists left Comilla for Dhaka in a road march.
