There is no more obstacle in the sale of Grameenphone SIM
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission-BTRC has decided to withdraw the ban on the sale of Grameenphone SIM. This decision was taken in a meeting of the commission on Sunday (January 1). As a result, there was no obstacle in selling the operator’s SIM.
In this regard, Post and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar said that Grameenphone has fulfilled all the conditions to ensure quality service. That is why they have decided to lift the ban on the sale of this SIM.
On June 29 this year, BTRC directed to stop the sale of all types of SIM cards of Grameenphone on the issue of service quality. After allowing the sale of 13 lakh recycled SIMs, it was withdrawn after a few days. Later, Grameenphone was allowed to sell 78,000 SIMs in public and private offices.
Meanwhile, in a letter sent to BTRC on November 25, 2022, the operator said to fulfill the promised KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) within a certain period of time to improve the quality of the service.
