Islami Andolan Bangladesh led by Charmonai Peersaheb has announced 15 points of demands, including the announcement of the schedule in the parliament and the organization of elections under the national government formed based on the opinion of all the registered political parties.

The party, which has received significant votes in various local government elections, has also proposed 19 points for state reform from the party’s national conference at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Monday. Charmonai’s Pir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim has been reinstated as Amir of Islami Movement and Principal Yunus Ahmad as Secretary General.

Awami League Joint General Secretary and Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud, BNP Vice Chairman Barkatullah Bulu, Kalyan Party Chairman Major General (retd) Syed Muhammad Syed Ibrahim (Bir Prateek), AB Party Convener AFM Solaiman Chowdhury, Opposition Leader Political Secretary Golam Masih, Jatiya Party Presidium Member AMM Alam, Public Rights Senior joint convener of the council. There were representatives of various parties including Rashed Khan.

The names of the 11-member presidium, 73-member executive council and 22-member advisory council members of the Islamic movement were announced at the conference.

19 points have been proposed including new constitution, public administration reform, making the executive, law and judiciary departments, election commission and ombudsman departments independent and self-reliant from each other, electoral system reform, minority security in the state reform referendum.

The party says that Bangladesh is going to be independent for 52 years. But the sad reality is that our public administration still carries the legacy of colonial structures, character and practices. The administration will be built on the ideals of Kholafaye Rasheda in the philosophy of ‘Janata Sevak Darshan’ based on efficiency and integrity.

Establishing a National Council to remove all existing corruption-irregularities in the finance sector, economy, industrialization, agriculture and energy sector, to strengthen and multi-dimensional the sectors and to build a self-reliant energy sector. Stabilizing the price of daily commodities by bringing the entire system under an integrated system including market management and product production, storage, transportation and marketing to protect the interests of producers, farmers and consumers. Developing a self-respecting and independent foreign policy. Analyzing the country’s industrial sector and wage sector and introducing state-of-the-art education system keeping in view the fourth industrial revolution. The country’s health sector is fragile and corrupt. To overcome this situation, building advanced health centers at the union level, building advanced hospitals with modern medical equipment at the district level, ensuring affordable medical facilities for all, controlling the source of disease, bringing overall medical management including disease research under an integrated plan. To ensure the position and dignity of women under the principles derived from the thousand years of history and tradition of Bengal in the light of the noble ideals of Islam to stop women torture, rape and establish women’s rights and protect women’s freedom.

Islami Andolan Bangladesh believes that a fair election under a one-party government is not possible in the current reality. That is why the Islamic movement has proposed a national government during the election. The party proposed the formation of a National Security Council comprising all parties.

Councilors of Islamic movements from all over the country attended the conference. Presidium member of the party Syed Mosaddeq Billah Al-Madani, Naib Amir Mufti Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim, Abdul Awal and others spoke.
