Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal): Yasmin Parvin Tibriji Deputy Commissioner of Bandarban has inaugurated the festival of free distribution of textbooks at the district level among the students of different levels in the academic year 2023.

On the first day of the year on Sunday (January 1),The District Commissioner distributed the books of 2023 academic year among the students of Bandarban Government High School and Government Girls High School.

Handing over new books to the students Chief Guest Yasmin Parvin Tibriji said that, “they should focus on education from the beginning of the year.There is no substitute for education.An educated society is needed to advance the country and the nation,So The Present government is giving more and high importance to education.

Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Shaia Afroz, Assistant Commissioner (Education and ICT) ASM Shahnewaz Mehedi,Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md.Mustafiz Bhuiya along with head teachers,students and parents were present.

Meanwhile,the book distribution festival is going on among the students of 435 primary schools across the district.District Primary Education Officer Shafiul Alam confirmed the matter.He also said that students of 435 primary schools in the entire district are getting 3 lakh 40 thousand books in the academic year 2023.
Already 54 percent of the books have been adopted by District Primary Education Offices.He also said that the remaining books will also be received by the district education office soon.
