Saiful Islam, Rangpur Bureau: It’s awarded to the best taxpayers of Rangpur tax zone. Certificates and crests were presented to the 56 best taxpayers on Wednesday afternoon.

Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md Sabirul Islam was the chief guest on the occasion. Tax Zone Rangpur Commissioner Shaheen Akhter Hossain presided over it. Rangpur Range DIG Md Abdul Alim Mahmud, Customs Excise and VAT Commissionerate Commissioner Suresh Chandra Biswas, Rangpur District Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu spoke as special guests.

Mirza Ashiq Rana, Joint Commissioner of Rangpur Tax Zone delivered the welcome address on the occasion.

The chief guest said, “Rangpur has great potential to develop agro-based industries. The government is working to establish an economic zone for setting up industrial factories in the northern region.”
