Two days after the beautiful young woman went missing from Shaistaganj’s new bridge, Chunarughat Thana police rescued her from the remote area of Parkul tea garden in Ranigao Union. Last Saturday at around 8 pm on the orders of Chunarughat police station OC Ali Ashraf, the police under the leadership of SI Moshahid Alam raided the area and rescued Tanu Sarkar (18) of PTI road in Habiganj city. The kidnappers escaped. Tanu Sarkar was handed over to his mother Manju Sarkar around 10 pm that day.

Incidentally, on the morning of December 8, the daughter of Ajit Sarkar of that area went missing on her way to her workplace, Sayham Textile, Noapara. That night, he called his mother Manju Sarkar and told her that Tahir Mia, son of Gedu Mia of Parkul village, was abducted by several people from New Bridge and kept in a garden house and tortured. Then his phone went off. When the matter was reported to the Chunarughat police station, the police conducted an operation and rescued him and took him into custody. OC Ali Ashraf confirmed the matter.
