Chief Justice Hasan Faiz Siddiqui said, corruption is a cancer that destroys democracy, leading the country towards destruction. weakens the foundations of the state.
He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the discussion meeting organized by the Supreme Court Lawyers Association on Sunday on the occasion of National Constitution Day.
Chief Justice said, our constitution has completed 50 years this year. As the bearer and bearer of this constitution, the judicial department has the great responsibility to ensure the reflection of the constitutional spirit in all the laws and legal activities of the country. A strong judiciary is the eternal dream of the people of Bengal.
He further said that all should stay away from even the slightest corruption to strengthen public confidence in every organ of the state. Even the slightest corruption destroys trust.
Law Minister Anisul Haque spoke as a special guest at the event under the chairmanship of Supreme Court Lawyers Association President Momtaz Uddin Fakir. The Law Minister said, Bangabandhu and Bangladesh are one and inseparable. So these two cannot be separated, nor can they be forgotten. The killers wanted to erase Bangabandhu from the minds of the people of this country by imposing the burden of military rule. But they could not do that.
