A collision between a truck and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw took place at Balipara on the Trishal-Nandail road of Mymensingh’s Trishal upazila. Five passengers of the CNG were killed. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Trishal Police Station Main Uddin confirmed the matter.

He said, ‘The autorickshaw with passengers was going from Balipara to Trishal. At this time, there was a collision with a truck carrying sand. Five passengers of the autorickshaw were killed on the spot. The police and fire service are going to the spot after receiving the information.

Citing eyewitnesses, he said that the CNG-powered autorickshaw was going from Balipara to Trishal. The truck going from Trishal to Balipara hit it at Chotpul in Balipara. Five persons of CNG were killed on the spot.
