Sheikh Hasina instructed the Jubo League leaders and activists to stay away from corruption, terrorism and drugs and said that every leader and activist must serve the country and the people. Go to your village, cultivate your land. It must be ensured that no land is left uncultivated so that production can be done on other’s land as well. Any crops, vegetables and plants should be planted. Terrorism, drugs and corruption must be stopped.

This Friday’s youth mass meeting organized on the occasion of the golden jubilee of the establishment of Jubo League, one of Awami League’s subsidiary organizations, turned into a sea of ​​youth. Millions of Jubo League leaders and activists from all over the country gathered there wearing colorful T-shirts and caps. Leaders and activists from various districts and upazilas started coming to Dhaka in buses, microbuses, trucks and pickups from late night the previous day. Since the morning, along with different vehicles, the leaders and activists with banners and placards came to the rally venue. Their muhurmuhu slogans, stick games and playing of various musical instruments including band parties and vuvuzelas created a festive atmosphere. As the day progressed, the entire garden was filled to the brim with the presence of leaders and activists. Before noon, the roads and surrounding areas including Suhrawardy Udyan became public forest.

Suhrawardy Udyan was decorated with colorful balloons, banners and festoons on the occasion of the grand gathering. There were portraits of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Jubo League founder chairman Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni. At the eastern end of the lake in the garden, a grand stage and pandal were constructed.
