A.League is masterplanning to suppress opposition movement: Rizvi

Dhaka/
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi expressed apprehension that Awami League is once again masterplanning to suppress the opposition party’s movement by using ‘fire terror’. He expressed this apprehension at a press conference held at the party’s central office in Nayapaltan on Friday (November 11).
Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP said that the government spent crores of rupees to channelize the peaceful movement of BNP to different sectors and blamed BNP for setting fire to buses and burning people with its own people and intelligence agencies. These incidents have been published and disseminated in various media. Currently, Sheikh Hasina is talking about arson. The Prime Minister’s speech is mysterious.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, Awami League is again drawing a master plan to suppress the democratic movement of BNP through arson. Their only way is violence and terror. Because they have no other recourse to stay in power. BNP is not a terrorist group. This party does not have a record of logi-vaitha, murder-disappearance, killing, maiming. It is the Awami League that is in power by force.
He said that by using the word terrorism again and again, the strategy of putting pressure on BNP is being taken. So the people are determined to bring down Sheikh Hasina after failing all her efforts. They are now saying the same thing that Awami League will do when the opposition party is protesting. Awami League has done this many times. He is already saying that he will do it again now.
Alleging that there is an attempt to prevent the divisional mass meeting in Faridpur, Rizvi said that late at night, the police is threatening the leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliates by going to their houses. But ignoring all obstacles, people and activists have started coming to Faridpur city from different districts of the division. Saturday’s Faridpur rally will be historic.
Advisor to BNP Chairperson Abul Khair Bhuiyan, Information Secretary Azizul Bari Helal, Executive Committee member Abdus Sattar Patwari and others were present in the press conference.
