BNP rally in Sylhet on November 19
BNP’s divisional meeting in Sylhet has been brought forward by a day. Instead of November 20, this rally will be held on November 19. It was reported that BNP held a press conference at a hotel in Sylhet on Sunday (November 6) at noon.
The rally was scheduled to be held on November 20 at Aliya Madrasa ground in the city. However, because of the HSC examination, the Sylhet Metropolitan Police issued a notification banning all kinds of gatherings in the Alia Madrasa area from Sunday. After the police notification, there was apprehension about the venue of the rally.
The press conference was held a day ahead and the rally was scheduled on November 19. In a press conference organized by Sylhet District and Metropolitan BNP, BNP Chairperson’s advisor Khandaker Abdul Muktadi informed about the change in the date of the assembly and said that Sylhet’s divisional assembly will be held ignoring all obstacles like other divisions of the country. We expect more than 450,000 people to attend.
He also said that although the assembly was scheduled to be held on November 20, it was changed to November 19, thinking that it would be difficult for the candidates.
Adviser to the BNP Chairperson was present at the press conference. Local and central leaders including Enamul Haque Chowdhury, central co-organizing editor Kalim Uddin Milan, district BNP president Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury, metropolitan BNP convenor Abdul Qayyum Jalali Pongki.
