The business establishment of Roshan Reza Empire on Town Hall Road, the heart of Habiganj city, was attacked and vandalized. At this time, two brothers’ pulses and blood were taken out by stabbing. They were sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital with serious injuries. The business was closed after this incident. In fear, many traders closed their shops and went home. This incident happened yesterday Sunday evening around 6 pm.

According to the police and local sources, Ibrahim, the owner of Redmi Mobile Center, a businessman on the ground floor of the market, had an argument with Nasir Uddin, the owner of Rainbow Business Company on the second floor. Because of this, Nasir Uddin of Hatirthan village of Sadar Upazila got angry and started planning how to kill him. Shortly before the incident on Sunday, 4/5 people were brought to the market with domestic weapons and gathered. As evening fell, 4/5 youths led by Nasir Uddin attacked Ibrahim’s business establishment with indigenous weapons. At one point, Ibrahim was stabbed in the stomach. When his brother Ahmed Ali came forward to save him, he too was stabbed. The two brothers fell to the ground. Their pulses have been dislodged due to the injury. Nasir Uddin and his men fled when the people around came forward on the shouts of other traders. People rescued them and brought them to Sadar Hospital where their condition deteriorated and they were sent to Sylhet.

Meanwhile, fear-mongering traders immediately closed their shops and went home and the market was closed. After getting information about the incident, SI Rubel Ahmed of Sadar police station went to the spot and identified the attackers by looking at the CCTV footage of the market.

In this regard, Sadar police station OC Golam Mortuza said that immediately after the incident, the police went to the spot and identified the accused after seizing evidence and CCTV. Police operation to nab the criminals continues. At the time of writing this report, the condition of the two brothers is said to be critical.
