Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal): Bandarban Deputy Commissioner Yasmin Parvin Tibriji said,the role of farmers is immense to make Bangladesh self-sufficient in food.Not even an inch of land should be left out of cultivation.

All fallow land adjacent to each homestead should be brought under cultivation.If we produce our own food we will reduce our dependence on imports.The country is ours, no one will come and make our country better.We have to make our country beautiful.

One of the challenges facing agriculture is ensuring the nutritional quality and safety of food.Another is to make agriculture profitable and commercial.If you want to eat balanced food cheaply,You should avoid tobacco cultivation and grow paddy,oil,dal and vegetable crops.

To encourage farmers,The government is regularly giving incentives for seeds and fertilizers for various crops.Government is and will always stand by you in any problem of farmers.In addition to the flat arable land,We also call for the increase of agricultural cultivation in the hilly land.

Deputy Commissioner of Bandarban Yasmin Parvin Tibriji said these words during the chief guest’s speech at the Farmers Rally organized by the Upazila Administration and Agriculture Extension Department at the Lama Adarsh ​​Girls’ High School grounds in Bandarban on Tuesday (October 01).

Lama upazila executive officer Md.Mostafa Javed Kaiser presided over the event.Lama Upazila Chairman Mustafa Jamal was present as the main speaker.The Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension Department was present as a special guest Rafiqul Islam,Lama Municipality Mayor Md Zahirul Islam,Lama 32 Ansar Battalion Captain ASM Azim Uddin,Officer Incharge (Lama) MD.Shahidul Islam Chowdhury,Ghazalia UP Chairman Bathwaiching Marma and others.

On the same day,The Deputy Commissioner auspiciously inaugurated the new additions to the tourism sector of Lama Upazila,Lama-Chakaria Road Viewpoint “KICHUKKHON” and Lama Officers Club Rest House “Shoila Bilas”.

After the farmers rally,Deputy Commissioner distributed baby food among the mothers on behalf of the district administration.At The Same Day,DC Bandarban visited TCB’s product sales activities at cheap prices and talked to the beneficiaries.
