Govt running country with terrorist forces due to lack of public support: Rizvi
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi commented that the government is now running the country with terrorist forces due to lack of public support.
This central leader of BNP said these things when he came to Magura 250 bed hospital on Wednesday evening to see the injured leaders and activists in the Jubo League-Chatra League attack on his way back after attending the departmental rally in Khulna.
Rizvi said, these terrorist forces have attacked the leaders and activists of BNP and other organizations of various districts who attended the mass meeting held in Khulna on October 22. But this attack could not stop the activists. They ignored the transport strike and reached the rally venue in various vehicles and boats.
He said, this rally has proved that people are in favor of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s release, in favor of caretaker government. Apart from this, their stand against corruption, looting and terrorist activities of the government has also been proven.
This leader of BNP said that the constitution has given us the right to hold assembly. This is not an illegal act. The government attacked and injured the people who were going to the assembly in various districts of Khulna division with the police and Petwa forces. The Khulna rally was a success by the people showing 100% solidarity and thwarting their attacks and atrocities.
He also said that this rally has proved that the people have taken a stand for us. This government is completely disconnected from the people.
Magura district BNP convener Ali Ahmed, member secretary Akhtar Hossain, former municipal mayor Iqbal Akhtar Kafur, district BNP joint convener Farukuzzaman Farmnak. Alamgir Hossain, district BNP leader Shahed Hasan Togar, Sadar Thana BNP convenor Qutub Uddin Katub, district volunteer party president Ashrafuzzaman Shamim and others were present on the occasion.
