EC, GM admitted that fair election is not possible in EVM
Chairman of Jatiya Party GM Quader has commented that the fear of manipulation in voting through EVM, spread of influence of government party, result hijacking has come true. He said, election commission itself has admitted that fair election is not possible through EVM. In future, if we want to speak against the government, we will be able to present the rigging of elections through EVM as evidence.
He said these things to reporters after visiting the grave of Jatiya Party founder chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad at Palli Nibas in Rangpur city on Tuesday afternoon.
GM Quader said that no decision has been taken so far regarding the alliance of Jatiya Party with BNP. Looking at the situation near the elections, a decision will be taken on the alliance with BNP in consultation with the grassroots and central leaders. Now we are working to give candidates for 300 seats.
Regarding Jatiya Party leader Masiur Rahman Ranga’s comments, he said, “They are speaking against me. I do not think it is right to give an opinion on these. Such an event has never happened before. So I am not looking at these seriously.
He also said that in order for the people to be able to earn their livelihood in the market of increasing commodity prices, we proposed to the government to introduce expensive allowances for the employees of government or autonomous institutions and provide daily essential products at affordable prices for the common people through rationing system.
GM Quader said that there may be food shortage in the country in the future. So the government should take measures now to protect the people from famine. The mega-projects should be stopped and money should be saved. As inflation is happening in the country, it is becoming impossible to meet the cost of living of the common people, so we fear that famine may hit the country.

In the afternoon, Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader along with other central leaders are scheduled to attend the Tri-Annual Conference of Rangpur Mahanagar Jatiya Party to be held at Public Library ground.
