If elections are held under caretaker government, there will be no sign of A-League: Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, ‘There is still time to move safely, or you will not find a way to escape. If the election is held under a supervisor, there will be no sign of Awami League.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at BNP’s rally in Khulna on Saturday afternoon. BNP Secretary General gave a speech sitting on a chair as he felt sick. He spoke from 4:17 pm to 4:48 pm on Saturday.
Greeting the people of Khulna, Mirza Fakhrul said, ‘This meeting is only a symbol. Khaleda Zia’s chair is empty. He is under house arrest. This chair is vacant in his memory. Soldier of the people, bring back the rights of the people. The government has turned this country into hell. Destroyed all achievements. The government is doing these things to perpetuate the illegal power. Once without voting, another time late at night. Elections in 2023 are expected to be held in the same way.
Mirza Fakhrul said, “This election commission has taken a strategy to make themselves look good. Commission does not mean DC-SPE. So we are not talking about Election Commission. No election without a supervisor. So this government has to say goodbye.
Commenting that BNP cannot be suppressed by the case attack, Mirza Fakhrul said in the Khulna rally, “BNP is agitating with new courage.”
BNP Secretary General said, ‘Government is talking about the footsteps of famine. Because they are looting. The government is saying to support the rally. Did the Home Minister help, arrests were made at the railway station. You can’t hold back. BNP says with new courage, we are moving forward. We are old and still fighting. The main responsibility is on the youth, to win the fight. We are doing peaceful activities, not violence. You cannot attack us. Foreigners have understood that you are a terrorist group. Staying in power by attacking.
BNP Secretary General also said, “We have no option but agitation.” This government should be defeated and a new government should be established. Resign the government. Awami League won’t have more than 10 seats if the caretaker government is elected. This government has to bid farewell to the people’s coup. We want to return our country to the path of democracy. The decision will be on the streets. I will form a commission to fix the court. There is still time for Saif to take the exit. Don’t find an escape route.’
