Govt has stopped public transport with bus owners: Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that the government has stopped public transport through bus owners so that BNP’s rally in Khulna is not successful. He said, the government is blocking so that they can say that the BNP rally was not big. He said these things in an event at the party chairperson’s office in Gulshan on Thursday. Apart from this, he said in a protest rally in Nayapaltan that the Awami League government has no right to rule the country, they have failed in all areas.
A rally was held in front of the party’s central office in Nayapaltan yesterday as part of the protest rally in districts and cities across the country against the torture, false cases and arrests of BNP leaders and activists. Before 2:00 p.m., leaders and activists from police station and ward level of Dhaka metropolis started coming to the gathering place in piecemeal processions. A large number of police are deployed in this area to deal with any situation. In this, Mirza Fakhrul told the government to resign immediately and organize elections under a neutral government.
If not, the people of the country know how to remove the government. Stop false cases and shooting people. He said that the cost of daily necessities is beyond the reach of the people. The government is so alarmed that it has started firing republican officials. The government is afraid of losing power. The government is taking people’s money and smuggling it abroad. And Awami League is struggling. Awami League has run with its tail folded. They now have Tariq Rahman disease. He urged the government to relinquish power to save the country from impending famine.
